Romance Macabre

I created this Mixed Media piece by painting the background with acrylic. I then used a tissue to smudge black ink onto the acrylic.  I alcohol ink sprayed a doily and cut it in half pasting each half onto the background. Fancy cut the digitally created graphic and added fringed black lace. Ink smudged around the edges of the graphic with black to create a "dark" look and added a couple of "time" embellishments under the lace.

Moonlite Steampunk

 

 

This Mixed Media piece is my version of Steampunk. I again used one of those cheap pictures to get the matt/border look. Placed a gold background paper over the original picture and added my digitally created graphic on top leaving a gold border from the background around it. Raided the garage for nuts, bolts, hinges and other pieces of hardware which I cleaned up and added. Used transfer rubs for the scrolled flowers and framed with a metal frame I found on sale that I thought really added to the look.

Make A Wish

 

 

To make this Mixed Media piece I used one of those poster pictures you can usually pick up for $1 or $2 or less.  Used my digitally created roses graphic to cover the original picture leaving the framed/matted look that was around it. Added the digital fairy graphic, some odd pieces of costume jewelry and the "Make A Wish" button.  I'm pretty happy with the soft and elegant look this came out with. *S*

Beauty

This is a Mixed Media piece I did a few months ago. The background is black oil paint with DecoArt Glamour Dust added while still wet. I then added the framed woman and flower graphics I had digitally created. Stamped the butterflies and added the heart doily and old-fashioned buttons.  The saying "You find Beauty in Everything you Touch and See" was digitally created and printed on clear label paper.

A Moment In Time

This is a Mixed Media artwork I did several weeks ago. I alcohol ink sprayed the background. Added a digital unicorn graphic I created as the centerpiece. Added silver ribbon, glittered chipboard embellishments, heart doily and little butterfly gems as accents. The saying "A Moment in Time" was created digitally and printed on clear shipping label paper. Also added the digitally created fairy graphic, although I think that was too much...should have left it out. But live, try and learn. LOL
